Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  • okay just for context this isnt the popular dishes of filipino food like adobo, menudo, kare kare, dinugoan, etc (except for the lomi). this is more like exotic foods that your average filipino wouldn't be craving if they wanted a meal unless you live a impoverish lifestyle

  • As a Batangueño, there's a proper way to make our sauce. We love soups ang sauces. I mean we literally pour coffee in our fried rice just to make is wet. 🤣
proper batangas sauce should be, soy sauce, calamansi, chili, crushed toasted garlic, and chopped onion. can also use fish sauce, and vinegar as a substitute on other dishes. and almost every meal should have soup, even if its just boiled nothing. we need soup.
Don't forget to eat your lomi with rice. 🤣
grab a plate, scoop your lomi, add your sauce to perfection, and add rice 👌 boom..
putok batok lomi from batangas uses Pupor and chicharong bulaklak instead of normal chicharon. that is a heavenly food that can bring you close to our creator 🤣
