Puerto Galera, nearly unknown among foreigners, 4hour bus+roro travel from Manila. Also, Coron can be reached via San Jose, Mindoro. In fact, let me just say, Mindoro is underrated. Batangas on Luzon, south of Manila, also underrated. The countryside surrounding Manila in general is underrated because people focus only on the city. It has art towns, heritage townscapes, mountains, wildlife, beach, diving, falls, etc.
