It's amazing that filipinas want lighter skin, here in the UK there are shops offering sunbed treatments, or people spending a fortune on sunny holidays just to get darker skin. I've got to say, naturally all filipinas are beautiful, skin colour would not even be a choice for me.

It's funny you mention "PT", in the U S (we) black people have a thing called "CPT" Colored People Time. It is used for the same thing. If you set a starting time for an event some "Colored People" will show up late. That term is used by what the young folks call "O G's". Also the whole dark skin is a positive, regardless to what they say.

Most of that is human nature to be fair. The last one though has always irritated me, not overly so, but own up to being wrong or your mistakes. Everyone makes them, and will continue to make, that's how people learn. We have people like that here in the West also. The shop I work in has a few, if something is broken, not one person knows what happened to it, just own it so we can fix it or get another one.
It's funny how culture works. Dark skin, dark hair and slim beautiful figures for women are very attractive.

When Europeans traveled around the world, they took their hatred of Jewish features and taught other people to hate that look Within their cultures. This is the origin of why there is Anti-blackness in every culture.
You are not being overly sensitive about the body shaming because of skin color. The standards of beauty have been set by the people who have colonized the Philippines. Filipinos need to recognize their natural gift and be proud of it.

Skin colour is irrelevant, or should be irrelevent to people when it comes to relationships.
the reality is..western people are a little indoctrinated by advetising & media to like tanned women..or a tanned look while asian people are horrendously indoctrinated by advertising & media to have pale /white skin, especially in Korea.
Tanning is dangerous, can cause skin cancer while bleaching skin is also dangerous and inherently insane.
The premise with asian cultures is that darker skin means/meant you are/were a manual person/laborer and worked outside, in the fields etc.
Thats not how genetics works but for some reason asian people are not as content with their skin colour as they ought to be..that reason being cosmetic companies.
I cant say ive ever judges anyone on their skin colour in terms of beauty.
